Maimon, Isaac
Artist Biography: Born 1951 - Beer-Sheba, Israel Exhibiting an early artistic talent, Maimon was enthusiastically supported by his family. From 1973-1980 he attented the Avni Institute of Fine Art in Tel Aviv. In 1978, he traveled to Paris where he spent much of his time in galleries and museums. Upon returning to Israel in 1980, he began teaching at the School of Visual Arts in Beer-Sheba and later at the Kaye Academy. He was also a professor of art at Ben-Gurion University. In 1991 he made his first United States tour with five tremendously successful solo exhibitions and has built up an impressive following. Today he devotes all of his time to painting.
